The Client Process {Branding}

Fun fact: I only work with one branding client at a time. In an effort to streamline the client process and make the entire experience more efficient, I've worked out a one week design schedule that gets you ready to hit the ground running in seven days. Sound too good to be true? Mmmk, let me prove it to you.

Before your scheduled week starts:

Most the time, inquiries come through my website or email. Within 24 hours of receipt, you'll receive your customized proposal, outlining what exactly is included in the package you've chosen, your payment plan, and your contract. We'll book your start date, and then the fun part - client homework comes your way! This way you'll have all the time you need to really think through your new brand.

(At least) one week before:

Using the fabulous platform Honeybook, I'll send over your client homework. A comprehensive list of questions designed to help you visualize and create your new brand, this is where it all starts. I try to send this as soon as I can so you can have as long as you need to go through it (pro tip: if you feel like you're going to need to close out and come back, start a Google doc and type your answers there), Once you've completed the homework you'll start a Pinterest board (and add me to it) to start gathering inspiration photos.

Days 1-2:

Day one is spent exclusively learning your vision for your brand. We start by creating an inspiration board built off your Pinterest board. I use the images and aesthetic you've curated, and bring in my own vision, and send it your way to kick of the design process. You'll have a chance to look it over and make revisions if something doesn't seem to fit.

Now it's time to get your logos running! It usually takes me all of day 2 to create your three variations, taking into consideration everything from in your questionnaire, our conversations, and your inspiration board. I do my best to create three completely unique logos to cater to everything youre is looking for.

Days 3-7:

Time for revisions! Day 3 is our time to get all of your revisions done and your logo looking perfect (Each package includes two rounds of revisions, so I encourage my clients to really take the time to analyze their concepts and roll everything they want to change into one or two revision emails).

Then we spend day 4 rolling out all of your collateral items (which is easy because we have the brand of your foundation built). You've chosen these from a list on your questionnaire, and we go through the same process of concepts and revisions and create your collateral items.

The last of our time together, days 5-7, is spent finalizing everything to ensure it's exactly what you want. We put together your nice shiny brand board (a really nice way to share your new brand with the world when you're ready to launch)

And that, my friends, is how the one week branding client process goes. Seven days to a fully customized, complete brand. All of my attention is on you for the entire process, which in turn streamlines the process considerably, and it doesn't hurt that you get to feel super special (hint: you are).

I love what I do. Like really, I love it. I'm legit passionate about helping other creatives in this weird, crazy entrepreneur world. If you're interested in working together, or even just talking and throwing around some ideas, my contact form is here. And if you made it this far through this blog, I 'preciate ya.
